The 2018 DVMISSION 48 Hour Film Challenge saw 31 teams take part and 26 crossed the finish line with 2 disqualification. The challenge required filmmakers to make a 2-minute film with the title ‘Night Dreams’, using the dialogue “We all go a little mad sometimes… haven’t you?” and in the genre of Zom Rom Com (zombie romantic comedy).
A very big thanks to our sponsors without whom the 2018 DVMISSION 48 Hour Film Challenge wouldn’t be able to happen: Portsmouth Lottery, Portsmouth Film Society, TNT Films, Mad Dogs TV, Kabuki Productions, Solent University, Versus Media.
Also a big thank you to talented creator James Waterfield of Lawn of the Dead who made this year’s gloriously gruesome ‘zombie baftas’. Plus of course we need to thank the dancers Manic Stage Productions, the set décor team, Eilis and Katie for being such troupers, event manager Johnny Sackett, tech wizard James Bailey and this year’s team of judges Nick Aarons, Andrew Goode and Jinx Prowse. Our supporters Exit 6 Film Festival and Film Expo South as well as the media team Sharkey, Aaliyah and Peace. Not to forget Al’Burrito for the food and stepping in at short notice. Importantly though, we couldn’t do any of this without the support of Geoff Priestly and the Wedgewood Rooms team.
Oohh! Did I mention the teams? I should mention the teams because it is after all their hard work that makes the challenge such a success. So an extra big thank you to all the teams and their friends, ligers and helpers.
