Top Tip 4: Let there be light
As lighting is the heart of filmmaking, it’s essential to know how to light, but also why. Even if you’re not the most experienced Director of Photography, you can be sensitive to the aesthetic and feel that you are trying to create. Although lighting should be experimented with, similarly to shots, there is a strong need for technical knowledge and even the science behind types of lighting.
It’s a good idea to remind yourself of different lighting tips and tricks before the CHALLENGE WEEKEND, so here’s a great little video you can refer to as you film:
